Event | Save the Date! May 2nd Global Temple Celebration Concert in the Baptist Temple. Two distinguished individuals who helped advance globalization at Temple and beyond will be recognized. Details to follow.

Effective immediately, all new international agreement requests should be sent to the Office of International Affairs. OIA will facilitate agreements through Provost’s Office and University Counsel for approval. For information, please call 215-204-9570.

Information | A Temple-China Liaison Office was established in January 2010 to help assist with international student recruitment. Based in Beijing, China, two bi-lingual Temple representatives are available to help promote Temple’s programs and to assist students apply to Temple. For further information, contact Brooke Walker at 215-204-4776.
Information | Schools/Colleges interested in establishing two-way student exchanges at undergraduate/graduate levels are encouraged to contact the Office of International Affairs. News | Five Fulbright student scholars are spending the 2009-10 academic year abroad, in Colombia, Finland, Germany and Russia.
News | TUSM and School of Dentistry have signed agreements withthe Ministry of Education of Kuwait to accept up to five qualifiedstudentswho successfully complete their undergraduate degrees in the College of Science and Technology. The government of Kuwait will provide full scholarships and living assistance to students entering for fall 2010.
News | Dr. Adrian Saftoiu, President of School of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, Romania visited with TUSM and CST and will establish MD/PhD student and faculty collaborative opportunities. Romanian students are supported by grants from the EU.
News | The new Language Exchange Program is off to a rousing start with more than 37 students from various majors gathering on February 4 to design and deliver one-line ads in Chinese, learn and explain language usage in context and share travel experiences in the US, China, Uganda and Nigeria. Students from any linguistic and cultural background who are interested in exploring global options are invited to participate by emailing dbmd@temple.edu – the next meeting is Thursday, March 4 at 4:00 p.m.
News | A TemPALS Spring 2010 participants reception was hosted by the Temple University Alumni Association, International Student and Scholar Services, and Center for Intergenerational Learning’s Coming of Age on Friday, January 29, 2010.
