English Language Placement Testing
International students are required to provide adequate proof of English language proficiency at the level of TOEFL iBT 79 or higher in order to be allowed to enroll in academic courses. If you have not submitted test scores, you will be required to take a language assessment test administered by the Intensive English Language Program before signing up for any courses. If your English language score is below the equivalent of TOEFL iBT 79, you will be required to take one semester or more of English language instruction.
If you are participating in the Summer II Intensive English Language Program (IELP), you will have the opportunity to take the paper-based TOEFL test at the end of the 7-week semester.

Health Insurance coverage is mandatory for all international students. Find out more about Health Insurance provided by Temple University.
If you elect to use a different health insurance plan, you MUST complete a Waiver of Health Insurance Coverage form to receive a credit on your tuition bill for the premium.
