Bruce Stronach became dean of Temple University Japan (TUJ) in 2008. As president of an American institution in Japan, Dean Stronach works closely with Japanese institutions of higher education to build educational, research and administrative relationships in order to further mutual academic development. He is committed to an educational philosophy based upon a combination of education and student services that enables TUJ students to acquire the critical thinking, cross-cultural communication, linguistic, and professional skills necessary to achieve their academic, career, and personal aspirations. Prior to TUJ, Dean Stronach was president of Yokohama City University for three years. He was the first non-Japanese person to be appointed to head one of Japan's public universities. |

Kim Strommen has served as dean of Temple University Rome since 1991. An award-winning painter and sculptor, Dean Strommen’s educational and administrative experience revolves around fine arts. Prior to being dean of Temple Rome, Dean Strommen was an associate dean at Tyler School of Art, where he continues to hold a faculty position in the Graphic Arts and Interactive Design Department. Dean Strommen believes in the transformational impact of international education and is proud of Temple’s dedication to this mission. As dean, he is committed to creating an atmosphere on the Rome campus where students learn to excel not only in adapting to a new culture, but also in meeting the challenges of a multi-disciplinary curriculum that encompasses both academic and creative spheres. |
