Temple University's Board of Trustees on Tuesday, July 12, voted unanimously to approve the appointments of JoAnne A. Epps as the university's executive vice president and provost and Cindy Leavitt as vice president for Computer Services and CIO. Epps was previously dean of Beasley School of Law.

The personal connections and real-world experiences offered to students earned Temple's Spanish certificate programs the No. 1 ranking in the country from Foreign Language Colleges. The program is one of five interdisciplinary certificate programs offered through Temple's Spanish and Portuguese Department.

Temple Scientists Reduce Fat in Chocolate and preserve Taste

Using an electronic field, Temple University scientists found a way to reduce fat in liquid chocolate by 20 percent and keep its delightful taste. In fact, some preferred the treated confection, saying it has a slightly stronger cocoa flavor and is better than original chocolate.
