"Next Steps" - Your Career Action Plan

Whether you enter Temple University as a freshman or transfer student, the Career Center is here to help you develop professionally.

Much of your preparation should involve working directly with the Career Center and our Career Coaches. However, you will find that our virtual resources are also invaluable in your career planning process.

Below are just some of the steps you should take during your time here at Temple, starting as a freshman, to help prepare you for life after graduation:

Step 1:
Identify your interests, skills and values by completing the FOCUS 2 Career Assessment. Access Code for new users = "wiseowl"

Step 2:
Communicate your academic background and experiences through developing a resume, with support from the Career Center. Upload your resume on the OwlNetwork. You will need to enter your AccessNet username and password to access the OwlNetwork.

Step 3:
Develop your skills through an on-campus job, working in the community, and an internship to prepare for your career path. Utilize InterviewStream to practice your interviewing skills and learn how to communicate your experiences to employers. You will need to enter your AccessNet username and password to access InterviewStream.

Step 4:
Please take a few moments to let us know your plans upon graduation from Temple University. Please complete the Temple University Post Graduation Plans Survey through TU Portal.

Stop by during our walk-in hours Monday - Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., or make an appointment to meet with a Career Coach.
