Mapping Temple University's Destiny
Temple Present
Located in the heart of North Philadelphia, Temple University is a gateway to higher education and upward mobility for generations of working class families and new wave immigrants. The diversity of its student body exemplifies the Temple experience and is a hallmark of its heritage. Enriching the learning experience are new buildings for the Medical School, Business School and Tyler School of Art.
The Future
The Academic Strategic Compass (Academic Compass, April 2009) continues to guide campus revitalization, global reach, research development, metro-engagement and entrepreneurial thinking. Temple shares the knowledge generated by its artists, philosophers, and scientists to enhance the quality of the life of people everywhere. Collaboratively, faculty, students and staff are designing the future of the university's academic vision and physical space with this goal in mind.
