Serving as acting president since July 21, 2016, Richard M. Englert was appointed president on October 11, 2016 by Temple University's Board of Trustees. Englert's career here spans 40 years, during which time he has served in 17 roles. From professor to dean, provost and chancellor, Englert is characterized as an outstanding educator and leader.
The Main University Commencement Ceremony is now Thursday, May 11, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. All School/College Graduation Ceremonies will take place following University Commencement on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12, with the exception of professional school ceremonies. The new rankings, compiled by Cybermetrics Lab, measured the impact and influence of published research of faculty from around the world. With the top 10 Temple faculty member profiles yielding nearly 895,000 citations, Temple is ahead of institutions such as Princeton (19), New York University (25) and the University of Pennsylvania (44).
