Research Interests:Much of the research interest is focused on the electronic andmagnetic properties of alloys and intermetallic compounds. Inaddition, efforts are being made to search for novel materialswhich show unusual phenomena such as heavy fermion behavior andhigh temperature superconductivity. Various studies include designand building of cryogenic probes and equipment used at low temperatures, sample preparation using both arc furnace and induction melting, characterization of materials by x-ray diffraction, and measurementsof resistivity, specific heat, magnetic susceptibility and Mössbauereffect in the temperature range from 0.03 to 300 K. Moreover,we collaborate with groups at Brookhaven National Laboratory, the National Magnet Laboratory and other research institutes toboth broaden and intensify our studies. | ||
