Research Interests:

The structure of the proton and neutron are being studied using the quark model in the nucleonrest frame. The results provide an understanding of recent deep inelastic polarization experimentsat CERN and SLAC. Questions addressed are the origin of the spin of the nucleons, and therelation of deep inelastic scattering measurements to static properties of nucleons. Properties(masses, magnetic moments, polarizabilities, decays) of the other baryons are being studied in aquark model that does not impose internal symmetries, but achieves the appearance of symmetrywhere it is appropriate.
