This essay was produced in 1994 while I was a student in Temple University's Photo Seminar class. The assignment then - as it is now - was to pick a photographer whose work you admire and present that work, along with a short biography, to the class. This 1994 essay was turned into a web site in 1998 as an example for Photo Seminar students as the projects changed from slides and handouts to web sites.
