1964 - Danny Clinch is born in Tom's River, N.J.

1982 - Danny attends Ocean County Community College, and begins to explore his interest in photography. Begins photographing bands with Boston's Rick Berlin: The Movie.

1985 - Graduates from the New England School Of Photography, and attends two photo workshops: "The Photograph As A Document" by Bruce Davidson and The Ansel Adams Workshop In Yosemite with Annie Liebowitz.

1986 - Danny is invited to intern with Liebowitz, and works his way up to being her full-time photo assistant. Goes on to assist Mary Ellen Mark, Stephen Meizel, and Timothy White.

1992 - Gets his first assignment for Spin Magazine, photographing the hip-hop act 3rd Base. He takes the photos to Def Jam records, and goes on to shoot other acts like Public Enemy and L.L. Cool J. Widespread exposure and a broader range of subjects follows.

1995 - Works on the conceptual imagery in the Afghan Whigs' Black Love LP.

1996 - Danny shoots the first Tibetian Freedom Concert in Los Angeles. He goes on to work with each successive Tibetian Freedom Festival.

1998 - His first book, Discovery Inn - a collection of his music portraiture - is published.

2001 - Danny has his first official gallery show in Washington DC, and publishes When The Iron Bird Flies, a collection of images from the Tibetian Freedom shows.
