CHRIS CRISMAN started working with the
Co-Op of professional photographers, Wonderful Machine in 2006. Based in Philadelphia, clients Crisman has worked for include Philadelphia Magazine, Drexel Universities Lebow School of Business, Rodale Press, Rolling Stone, Warner Brothers Records, Money Magazine, and musicians such as Joan Jett and Regina Spektor.
Crisman’s passion for photography started in his works of landscapes and spaces. Driven to keep learning, he progressed on to commercial work and has developed a unique and passionate style for portraying the client in a way that is completely individualistic to his eye. “With every shoot I’m still trying to make a picture better than I’ve ever made.”
Growing up in Titusville, Pennsylvania, CRISMAN still finds himself drawn back there to photograph the local Steel Workers, telling a story of each worker. His work with the miners is captivating to the viewer and a personal piece for him.
