About me....

I am native Philadelphian, born in the Northeast section of the city. I attended Father Judge High School and now Temple University where I study Photojournalism. I entered college thinking that I wanted to major in Film, which I did for more then 2 years before I realized that it was not for me. In what turned out to be my last semester as a Film student I enrolled in the Basic Photography class under the advice of a friend and realized that I really felt good when I was taking pictures.

In the past 1 and a 1/2 years I have partaken in some pretty amazing projects for my classes(three issues of a newspaper, two books and countless side projects). I was a bit weary about the decision to switch majors though because I was so close to being done already. All this was put to rest when I showed up in my first upper-level photography class. The teacher let us out 20 minutes into a 2 hour class and everyone stayed the rest of the time to talk to each other and hang out. This would never happen in a film class....there everyone secretly hopes for the failure of everyone else in the class while here was the exact opposite. So from then there was no looking back.

Aside from photography I am also minoring in Business and rowed for my limit of years on the Mens Crew Team. I have actually rowed for the last 9 years of my life and have learned a great deal from it. But one of the main things I have learned is that photographers work at all hours of the night and it is very difficult to keep a training schedule when you are up till 4a.m. putting a portfolio or a book together.
