photography @ Temple

The Spring 2009 Basic Photography class has begun. Weekly best efforts from this class as well as those from previous semesters are in the Basic Class section. Examples from Documentary Photography and Photo Seminar are available as well.

Aperture is a Temple University club for students interested in discussing photography and photojournalism. Upcoming events include guest speakers, portfolio reviews and more. For more information on Aperture or becoming a student member of the National Press Photographers Association contact Nicole Kelly.

Several former Temple students have expressed interest in adding their work to the Former Student section. If you are a former Temple student and have an interest in seeing your work displayed on this site, please send e-mail and we will be glad to consider your request.

For new students or anyone visiting this site for information about matriculating at Temple - with an interest in Photography for the Mass Media - check out the Course Section. You will find course descriptions and recommended requirements for both inside and outside the department.

Temple University 1992 photography graduate Clarence Williams received the 1998 Pulitzer Prize in feature photography. Look for links to "Orphans of Addiction" and other former student sites in the Former Student section.

It is hoped that the Temple photography site will continue to expand and become a true showcase of work from both current and former Temple photography students.
