Carol Gould

Carol Gould Professor of Philosophy & Political Science

Professor Gould's main interests are in social and political philosophy, especially democratic theory and human rights, international ethics and feminist philosophy.  Professor Gould is Editor of the Journal of Social Philosophy,  President of the American Section of the International Society for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy, Executive Director of the Society for Philosophy and Public Affairs, and incoming Chair of the American Philosophy Association Committee on Lectures, Publications, and Research.  She has held fellowships and grants from the NEH, the NSF, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the Fulbright Foundation, as Senior Scholar in France and as Fulbright Distinguished Chair at the European University Institute in Florence.
