It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Philadelphia People represents a generation of young, vivacious idealists. Our readers are envied for their bold outlook on life and their passion to influence the world they live in. They inspire us to carry on a legacy that has been in place for 31 years—creating a publication that is in rhythm with the heartbeat of Philadelphia.
The staff of Philadelphia People embodies this candid spirit and from cover to cover we illustrate why we’re so captivated by this city. If you’re still wondering what’s so mesmerizing about these young urbanites, I invite you to check out my list.
Top 3 Reasons Why We Envy Philadelphia People:
They are the official go-getters of the Northeast ‑-
nothing can stop their hustle.
No other population is as vocal about their tastes. If they love it, they love it. If they don’t, they don’t.
In spite of the grittiness of their urban playground, they have a lot of soul.

“What do we do now, Larry?”
Our faculty advisor smiled at us and said, “Go make a magazine.”
Forty eight hours and at least as many Irish car bombs later, the Night and Day issue was born.
If New York is the city that never sleeps, then Philadelphia is the city that sleeps in shifts. While Preston and Steve will make you piss your pants in the wee hours of the morning, Tim and Eric will keep you in stitches until way past your bedtime. In the meantime, Pedro is fighting for his freedom, Bryan Miller is fighting for your life and swingers are fighting for their right to party.
Our writers worked to find compelling stories and more importantly, compelling people. Our photographers captured captivating images, and our designers made it all come alive on the page.
It is our hope that these stories give you an intimate look at the lives of ordinary (and extraordinary) Philadelphians who will wake you up, tuck you in and get you through the day.
Hop on,
