Dr. Michael Lusty is Vice President of Aerosol Product Development for Kos Pharmaceuticals (Cranbury, NJ) a fully integrated specialty pharmaceutical company engaged in developing, commercializing, manufacturing and marketing proprietary prescription products for the treatment of chronic diseases with a focus on cardiovascular, metabolic and respiratory diseases.

Formerly he was Director of R&D, Insulin Delivery Systems at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company)- a medical device technology company and Associate Director of Pharmaceutical Package Development with Schering-Plough Research Institute.

In the roles at Kos, BD and Schering-Plough, Dr. Lusty has experience in package development for conventional dosage forms like solids (tablets) and also drug delivery applications such as inhalation products (dry powder and metered dose inhalers), nasal sprays and injection products including 'pen' systems. He was been directly responsible for the development of the container closure system and drug delivery devices, writing the pertinent sections in regulatory submissions, and the successful launch and support of many drug products.

He is a Ph.D. scientist with 15 years industry post-graduate experience.
