5579. Regulatory & Legal Basis of Pharmacovigilance (101)

Steve Klincewicz is currently serving as Vice-President Safety Sciences, Benefit-Risk Management (BRM), Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceuticals Group. He is responsible for the Surveillance, Epidemiology, Exposure Biostatistics and Medical Assessment functions on a global basis. Steve has spent a total of 10 years in pharmacovigilance, the last five of which have been with Johnson and Johnson.

Prior to joining industry, he practiced clinical occupational medicine in several hospital-based programs. He received his undergraduate degree from McGill University, his medical degree from Des Moines University. In addition he has post-graduate degrees in Public Health and Law and is licensed to practice both law and medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Steve also trained in occupational epidemiology with the Epidemic Intelligence Service of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
