Charlene Gallagher, JD

Food and Drug Law I

Charlene Gallagher has been associated with Temple University for four decades, beginning with undergraduate studies at Temple’s Main Campus in the 1960s. Then she was graduated first in her class from Temple’s School of Pharmacy in the 1970s. In the 1980s she graduated cum laude from Temple’s Law School and now teaches for the QA/RA program. She has worked in community pharmacy, as a pharmaceutical chemist in R&D at William H. Rorer, and as a hospital pharmacist. She was also associated with a large Philadelphia law firm, specializing in the litigation of civil cases, especially malpractice and drug product liability. In private practice she has represented hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. In 1984 Ms. Gallagher moved into a corporate law position at Wyeth, where she serves as advisor on food and drug law, reviewing advertising and promotional materials and product launches. A highlight of her FDA Law I course is a mock trial in which experienced trial lawyers and pharmaceutical professionals enact the excitement of a courtroom.
