Drop/Add Policy for QA/RA Courses
![]()
Please be aware of the following University policies regarding adding/dropping courses.
You will receive a full refund for dropping a class only if you drop your QA/RA course BEFORE the third class meeting (weeknight classes) or BEFORE the second class meeting (weekend classes). You are responsible for notifying the QA/RA Office by fax using the official Course Withdrawal form. If you do not officially drop the class by these deadlines, you will be required to pay tuition in full, even though you will receive a “W” (withdrawal) for the course. Do not assume that you are automatically dropped from a class when you do not attend. Once you are officially registered, you remain on the class list until the QA/RA Office processes a withdrawal. It is your responsibility to notify the QA/RA Office, not your teacher’s.
Weeknight Classes:
You will receive a full refund for a dropped weeknight class only if you drop your QA/RA course by the end of the second class. You are responsible for calling the QA/RA Office before the class meets a third time. If you do not officially drop the class by the third meeting, you will be required to pay tuition in full, even though you will receive a “W” (withdraw) for the course. Please do not assume that you are dropped from a class simply by not attending. Once you are officially registered, you remain on the class list until the QA/RA Office processes a withdrawal. It is your responsibility to call the QA/RA Office, not your teacher’s. Please complete the official QA/RA drop form and fax it to the QA/RA office. The date on the fax will serve as proof of when the form was received by the QA/RA Office. (Course Withdrawal Form). It is your proof that you dropped the course by the proper date.
Before you register for a class, please determine whether you feel you will actually be able to finish it. In the past, some students have left positions midway through the semester and find they are no longer eligible for tuition reimbursement from their former company or no longer have access to the site to attend a class. Temple University's withdraw policy is still the same in these circumstances: students are responsible for all tuition after attending the first two meetings of a weeknight class. The University is not responsible for reimbursing tuition because a student changes companies.
Weekend Classes:
You will receive a full refund for a dropped weekend class only if you drop your QA/RA course by the end of the first class meeting. You are responsible for calling the QA/RA Office before the class meets a second time. If you do not officially drop the class by the second meeting, you will be required to pay tuition in full, even though you will receive a “W” (withdraw) for the course. Please do not assume that you are dropped from a class simply by not attending. Once you are officially registered, you remain on the class list until the QA/RA Office processes a withdraw form. It is your responsibility to call the QA/RA Office, not your faculty member’s. Please complete the official QA/RA drop form and fax it to the QA/RA office. The date on the fax will serve as proof of when the form was received by the QA/RA Office (Course Withdrawal Form). It is your proof that you dropped the course by the proper date.

Nonpayment of Classes
You should register for QA/RA courses before the semester begins. If you register after the first class meeting, late fees may be imposed. Sorry, but we can not “retroactively” register students who do not enroll by the second class meeting, nor can we delete late penalties.
Missed Classes:
The QA/RA Office will no longer provide tapes for students who miss class for business or other reasons. If you miss class, please make arrangements to get the notes from another student in the class.
