We mourn the loss of Joseph A. Marlino, Sr., '43.Joe has a long and rich history with the School and with athletics. He taught as a Chemistry Professor at the School pf Pharamcy and is credited with reviving its basketball team in the 1950's. Joe served as Basketball Head Coach and as Athletic Director of the team. His first season (1951-52) went down in history as the School's best season in 25 years.In the late 50's he served as President of the Alumni Association, andin 1975 he was the School's. Certificate of Honor recipient. We extend our sincere condolences to Joe's wife Betty, his children and his grandchildren.
Professor Emeritus Melvin R. Thomason, age 76, died suddenly on Wednesday evening, June 2, 2010. Mr. Thomason graduated from the Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He taught pharmacology at the Temple University School of Pharmacy for over 32 years before retiring in 1997.
