The Department of Pharmacy Practice invites applications for clinical
educator track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor
level. The level of appointment will be based on individual
qualifications and professional goals.
Responsibilities include establishing an innovative clinical practice,
serving as a preceptor and role model for clerkship students, and
participating in team-taught didactic courses. Applicants should have a
Pharm.D. degree with postgraduate residency training or equivalent
experience. Temple University School of Pharmacy has implemented a
dynamic curriculum utilizing a variety of innovative teaching
techniques. Faculty members have access to state of the art multi-media
systems, and computer technology to assist them in developing novel
educational approaches. The successful candidate will have the
opportunity to work with a team of creative educators dedicated to
providing quality education to their students; pharmaceutical care to
patients; and who are involved in a variety of research projects. The
philosophy of the School of Pharmacy is to foster individual growth and
to encourage individual faculty members to dedicate their time and
efforts in areas where they will be most productive.
Temple University is in the midst of unprecedented growth with the goal
to significantly enhance its research capability. The School of Pharmacy
houses a Core Facility for Pharmacokinetics and Bioanalysis, the Jayne
Haines Center for Pharmacogenomics and Drug Safety, and is engaged in
several collaborative research relationships with colleagues in the
School of Medicine and Temple University Hospital.
