Temple University School of Pharmacy students, attended the PSHP XXVII Annual Meeting in Atlantic City March 8-10, 2006 and presented posters mentored by the faculty from the School of Pharmacy.

Presenters at this meeting were:

Awards in the student category for the poster entitled "Probable Drug Interaction Between Psychotropic Medications and Lopinavir/Ritonavir" went to Inga Bruns, Ryan Mahle, and Olga Klibanov, PharmD (faculty mentor).

Awards in the pharmacist category went to presentations entitled:

"Decreasing Adverse Drug Events with a Pharmacist Managed Warfarin Protocol in Hospitalized Patients" by Patrick McDonnell, PharmD and colleagues at Jeanes, John Woodward, MD, George Miller, RPh, and Deborah Dunaj, RN.

"Pharmacist Initiated VTE Prohylaxis Program with Concurrent Economic Cost Savings" by Melissa Ranieri, PharmD, George Miller RPh, Patrick McDonnell, PharmD and John Woodward, MD.
