Dean Peter Doukas recently dedicated 25 new computer lab chairs
at the School in a ceremony attended by alumni, faculty, staff,
chair honorees and their families/guests. Dean Doukas unveiled a
plaque commemorating the event that lists the names of the
donors and the person they are
honoring.
When the fund drive was announced in the Fall of ‘06, the first
chair
was purchased by Marvin Samson, a long-time friend of the
School, in honor of Philip Seltzer ’42.
The last two chairs sponsored, were purchased by business
partners Paul Tirotto ’86 in memory of his mother Barbara,and
Greg Colelli ’85 in memory of his father Frank. Paul and Greg
own Broad Street Apothecary in South Philadelphia.
Of special note, Frank Berenato ’82 generously purchased 4
chairs, one of which is in honor of Computer Lab manager Barbara
Grissani.
Many thanks to the alumni, friends and family of the School
Listed below, who with this gesture, continue to enable it to
provide cutting edge technology, scholarship support, and other
infrastructure improvements, keeping the School competitive with
its peer institutions in recruiting the brightest and the best.
