On August 7, 2005, Dr. Olga Klibanov and PY-4 students Kseniya Timofeyeva, Rafal Czapla, and Tatyana Dadiomova, volunteered at a health fair held at the Annual Russian Mosaic Festival at Penn's Landing. Dr. Klibanov and the students prepared a poster describing the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the former Soviet Union to educate the Russian community about this growing problem. Together with other Philadelphia area clinicians, they also measured festival participants' blood pressure, blood glucose, answered any questions about their disease states and medications, and offered on-site rapid HIV tests.
