The ribbon cutting for the Jayne Haines Center for
Pharmacogenomics and Drug Safety took place on Monday, Novemer
20th with the assistance of Jayne's grandchildren Peter and Alex
Zaharchuk, Jayne's husband David, Dean Doukas and Dr. Evgeny
Krynetskiy, lead researcher at the Center. Robert Haines and
Susan Zaharchuk, Jayne's children were in attendance along with
John Zaharchuk, Jayne's son-in-law. A luncheon for the family, which began with a champagne toast by Dean Doukas honoring Jayne's memory, preceded the ribbon cutting. A tour of the Center was lead by Dr. Krynetskiy. Members of the Haines family were given a tour of the facilities within the School which Jayne was instrumental in establishing. These included the Parenteral and Computer Laboratories.
