Gallery of Success


Richard Bryan, ’70 President of Roth International Limited and Keith Crawford ’85, Research Assistant Professor Howard University College of Medicine, Dept. of Pharmacology, were inducted into the 2007 Gallery of Success at a luncheon held on October 5th at Mittin Hall. 

The University-initiated Gallery of Success represents Temple's diverse and talented family of graduates. These individuals are honored with a photograph and biographical sketch, which is displayed for one year in the Gallery located in Mittten Hall. The Gallery of Success inspires pride in all members of the University community and serves as a legacy and reminder for all students of the success of graduates of Temple University who are in great demand in the globalworkforce.

Richard Bryan, BS, MBA, began his career as a staff pharmacist for Walgreens before acquiring Roth Drug Company, now Roth International LTD, a major manufacturer and marketer of dental and products. Under Mr. Bryan’s leadership, he renamed and expanded its distribution to a wider market including Western Europe, Latin American Asia, Russia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Keith Crawford,  BS, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor, College of Medicine, Dept. of Pharmacology and Senior Clinical Project Director, National Minority AIDS Education and Training Center, at Howard University in Washington, DC.

Dr. Crawford has published research in some of the leading biomedical research journals, and has two received patents. One patent is for developing a novel approach to killing tumor cells resistant to cancer drugs and the other is for an innovative pharmacologic approach that could prevent cells targeted by HIV from getting infected. He is also a consultant for The Health Resources Services Administration which specializes in improved delivery of HIV care to minority populations in resource-poor settings.
