On Saturday October 22 a team of students from TUSP won the NASPA-NMA Student Selfcare Championship at the NJPhA Meeting in Atlantic City.
First let me congratulate the winning team of:
Princy Pathickal, Sonam Patel, Quang Phung and Matt Tarullo.
They competed against teams from USP, Rutgers and Long Island University in a Jeopardy style competition where they answered questions about OTC products, self care concepts and devices.
Prior to the "Final Jeopardy" question the scores were as follows:
TUSP 7800 points
Rutgers 4800 points
USP 4000 points
LIU 3000 points
Since all teams but Temple wagered all points on the final question the final score was TUSP 6300 points to zero for each of the other teams.
I was attending the meeting as a contest judge and I can't tell you how proud I was of our students. They conducted themselves in a professional manner and were gracious winners.
Best regards,
Mike
