12/16/10
The Practical Politics and Pharmacy class is an elective course offered to PY3 students which focuses on the importance of advocacy and advancing the profession of pharmacy. This year, 19 students went to the state capital in Harrisburg on November 16, 2010 and spoke to several legislators about allowing certified student pharmacists in PA to immunize under supervision of a certified, registered pharmacist. Students also attended the State Board of Pharmacy meeting and spoke to the board members about this issue.
