2013 Annual Research Recognition Day

The School of Pharmacy's 2013 Annual Research Recognition Day was recently held. It celebrated the research accomplishments of our graduates, professional students, and those undergraduate students from the College of Science & Technology who are doing research in our labs, along with their faculty mentors. Absorption Systems and Tesaro were co-sponsors.
The day began with a lecture presented by Dr. Richard Hargreaves: Vice President, Franchise Worldwide Discovery Head, Neuroscience & Ophthalmology, Merck Research Laboratories. The lecture was entitled: Neuroscience: Drug Discovery.
Poster judging of 53 Abstracts then took place, followed by a reception in the first floor lobby, and an Awards presentation.
The Research Recognition Day Committee consisted of: Drs. Michael Barros, Wayne Childers, (Co-Chair); Christine Fitzgerald, Ken Korzekwa, Evgeny Krynetskiy, Nima Patel-Shori (Co-Chair) and Mrs. Eileen Lichtenstein and Ms. Brenda Malinics.
