The School of Pharmacy held a Dedication Ceremony on April 20, 2012 in the Anne and Burton Greenblatt '43 Seminar Room to thank the alumni and friends who named a chair in support of a newly created scholarship -- the School of Pharmacy Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Dean Peter Doukas unveiled the plaque commemorating the names of the donors who contributed a gift of $500 or more to the scholarship.
To reach its goal of $25,000 to endow the fund, the Alumni Association offered donors the opportunity to name one of the 50 chairs in the seminar room for a gift of $500. To date, alumni and friends have contributed over $75,000 in support of the scholarship. Dean Doukas thanked Alumni Association past president Loretta Brickman, '63 for her leadership, making the creation of this scholarship a priority during her tenure as the association's president, and he gave special acknowledgement to alumnus John Kozitzky '43 whose generous support of this scholarship helped us eclipse our goal.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to attend the School's Open House in the recently renovated first floor lobby.
