Moulder Center for Drug Discovery Research (MCDDR)
History
The center was founded with a generous gift from School of Pharmacy alumni Dr. Lonnie Moulder and his wife, Sharon. Both were graduates of the Class of 1981. In addition, research seed funds were made available by the Provost of Temple University to recruit a distinguished drug discovery leader to spearhead the center's efforts. Dr. Magid Abou-Gharbia, a well known leader in drug discovery, was recruited in 2008 from Wyeth Pharmaceutical to be the Director of the center.
