Dr. Nagar's research focuses on xenobiotic metabolism and pharmacokinetics. Her areas of interest include the uridine diphosphoglucuronosyl transferase (UGT) and sulfotransferase (SULT) enzyme superfamilies. Dr. Nagar studies the biochemistry, enzyme kinetics, and pharmacogenetics of these enzymes, especially in the context of dietary carcinogens and chemopreventives.
Post-doctoral position in drug transporter research
A post-doctoral position is available in the laboratories of Drs. Swati Nagar and Ken Korzekwa at the Temple University School of Pharmacy. We are seeking a motivated candidate with experience in the area of pharmaceutical sciences. This position will require existing or acquired capabilities in pharmacokinetics, modeling and simulation, cell culture, animal models, and analytical skills (LCMSMS). The candidate must be trained in general quantitative skills. The research will focus on impact of drug transporters on intracellular concentrations and overall drug distribution.
