Temple University is committed to bringing not only its own resources, but those of the broader local and national community, to the effort to demonstrate what this kind of partnership can achieve. Each year, Temple University spends more than double its allocation from the School District of Philadelphia in the Partnership Schools, thanks to the support of generous individuals and organizations. Temple has raised more than $1 million for the schools to date, from sources including Temple alumni, corporations, foundations and the federal government. The Temple Partnership Schools program offers an unusual opportunity for tax-exempt giving by philanthropic individuals and organizations. We welcome discussion with potential donors at any level. There is much to be done and room for all in this Partnership.
