NIH Announces Paul B. Beeson Career Development Awards in Aging
This program provides three to five years of mentored career development support to clinically-trained faculty members in strong research environments to enable them to gain skills and experience in aging research, under the guidance of a mentor or mentors, and to establish an independent program of research in this field. It also includes an annual meeting that allows opportunities to partner with national mentors and fellow awardees. NIH anticipates 10-12 awards with a K08 funding mechanism.

National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research Announces Funding for: Validation of New Technologies for Clinical Assessment of Tooth Surface Demineralization
The goal of this initiative is to stimulate research that will validate the use of existing high-resolution, real-time imaging technologies and /or the application of new technologies for accurate and early clinical assessment of tooth surface demineralization. It is envisioned that this will lead to increased efficiency of caries clinical trials and reduce their costs.
