:: Undergraduate Information

The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies is responsible for undergraduate programs and academic affairs at Temple University. Serving both students and faculty, we are dedicated to undergraduate teaching and learning.

Undergraduate Studies ensures that the undergraduate curriculum meets university standards and supports our academic mission. We help to design and implement new programs, and innovative uses of information technology in teaching, and we are stewards of university academic policy concerning undergraduates.

The Office also collaborates with faculty curriculum committees on the undergraduate General Education Curriculum. Providing an array of curricular services -- the Bulletin, DARS, Course Descriptions, we work to improve access to information about undergraduate programs and information systems that support our programs.

We offer an array of First Year Programs and programs for upper division students at Temple University.  One such initiative is the University Seminar Series which includes the First Year Seminar focused on providing an introduction to college life; the Sophomore and Transfer Seminar designed to provide opportunities to work on professional planning and development; and the Junior Seminar developed to provide an opportunity for students to focus on preparation for graduate educational opportunities and entrance exams for graduate and professional programs.
