As a Temple student you are a member of a vast community, some 34,000 strong and we take your personal safety very seriously. Currently, the campus police division has 118 police officers. In our security division there are 70 security officers. Our officers are visible anytime on campus; by foot, on bicycles and in patrol cars.
Assistance is just a phone call away and is as easy as 1234! If are off campus dial 215-204-1234. If you are on campus and need assistance, dial 1-1234.
Temple University also has Blue light Emergency phones. There are 90 phones spread out throughout Main, HSC, Tyler and Ambler Campuses. In case of an emergency press the red button, this will activate the system causing bright blue strobe flashes and a call will go directly to the campus police.
The police and security professionals that make up the staff of Temple University’s Department of Campus Safety Services take their work seriously, and do their jobs well!
