Welcome to the Distance Learning Program!

The Online Learning (OLL) Program at Temple University is designed to give students more flexibility in when and how they attend classes, and to enable professionals to continue their education according to their own schedules. Courses are offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to continuing education students.

State Authorization

Accreditation and State Authorization

Temple University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Middle States is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Temple University is committed to complying with all states’ regulations for its distance learning programs. For specific information regarding state authorization, approval, licensure or exemption, please email online@temple.edu.

Due to state regulations regarding the delivery of distance education to out-of-state residents, applications from students residing outside the state of Pennsylvania may not be accepted by all Temple programs.

Temple University currently offers online/distance learning programming to students living in the following states:

The appropriate agency from each state has confirmed that Temple University’s online programmatic structures are in lawful alignment with each state’s regulations.

This applies to fully online programs ONLY. Students from those states not listed who are interested in our on campus programs may still apply.
