This course will present an introduction to the range and scope of assistive technology for work, school, home and play. Using a cross-disability perspective, students learn about high and low tech devices as solutions for access and functional challenges across settings. The course emphasizes the role of the consumer in all aspects of the process of obtaining assistive technology, and the importance of multidisciplinary teams. Funding for AT devices and services is also addressed.
