ECON 510 - Mathematics for Economists I
In order to understand all of what appears in major economics journals, a person has to have an ability to translate mathematics into economics and to follow mathematical reasoning. Additionally, a person becomes a better economist if that person can use mathematics to help in developing and applying economic ideas. The primary purposes of this course are: (a) to extend the student's ability to read math and translate math into economics and (b) to improve the student's ability to do economic reasoning with the aid of basic mathematics.
