ARCH 270/ART HIS 210  -- Architecture of Philadelphia

This course is a history of American architecture in Philadelphia. The city includes buildings in all the major architectural styles that have been used in the country since Colonial times, and many structures are major monuments. Weekly papers, a research paper, and a take-home midterm and final are required.

The course requires the student to have access to a PC with CD-ROM drive and multimedia display capabilities as well as an e-mail address.
