Institutional Review Board -
Responsible for the regulation and monitoring of all University research involving human subjects.
Adverse Events Review Committee - The AE Review committee is managed by the IRB Office. It is responsible for the review of all Serious Adverse Events for Temple and non-Temple Research Subjects that are reported during the conduct of a clinical trial involving Human Subjects. The committee meets once a month.
Environmental Health and Radiation Safety -
Responsible for ensuring the safe use of radioactive materials, radiation producing equipment, chemicals and biological substances at the University, Hospital and affiliated institutions.
Institutional BioSafety Committee -
Responsible for the regulation and monitoring of all University research that involves recombinant DNA, infectious agents, and other biohazards.

Cost Analysis and Compliance - Financial compliance assessments and regulatory guidance were formally established with this office
Research Proposal Development and Support Services
Sponsored Projects Administration (OVPR) -
All proposals for grants and contracts for research and other scholarly activities to public agencies (federal, state or local government), private non-profit research organizations (such as the American Heart Association) and industry (such as testing agreements and contracts).
Grant and Contract Accounting (Controllers Office) - Assist principal investigators and University administrators with the post-award management of grants and contracts
Clinical Research Administration (OCRA) -
facilitates clinical research at Temple University's Health Science Campus. Supports externally funded clinical research activity.
Clinical Research Center (School of Medicine) -
Provides space located on 4 West of Temple University Hospital to perform clinical research.
Investigational Drug Services (TUH)
- Located at Temple University Hospital and is required to be used for all inpatient Investigational Drug Studies conducted at Temple University Hospital.
Accounts Payable provides payment services to the University Community and the Vendor Community while controlling all disbursements, other than payroll, made from University funds.

Information Science and Technology - Advanced research and education aimed toward solving challenging data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, and optimization problems for an efficient knowledge discovery at large databases.
Social Science Data Library -
is Temple University's repository for computerized social science data and a primary center for expertise in the analysis and presentation of such data.
Institute for Survey Research -
the main objectives of ISR are to conduct significant social research, and to provide high quality survey research services to social science colleagues around the country, state, and region.
Computer Services Statistical/Research Services -
The Statistical/Research Services group assists students, faculty, and staff at Temple University with the use of computers for statistical processing of data.
Biostatistical Consulting Center - The Biostatistics Consulting Center offers comprehensive statistical consulting and computational services to faculty, staff and students of Temple University School of Medicine, Temple University Health System, and the Health Sciences Center.
Core Research Facilities and Equipment
Flow Cytometry - state-of-the-art Flow Cytometry Facility for the measurement of physical and chemical properties of cells or other biological particles. This method uses a combination of laser light scatter and fluorescence detection. Equipment available for analysis includes FACScan and FACSCalibur, as well as a FACSAria for advanced analysis and/or cell sorting.
Histology Core Facility -
provides high quality histological services through its core facility located within the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Temple University School of Medicine. The facility provides services for researchers for both human and animal tissues.
Proteomics -
to provide accessible and affordable proteomics capability for biological and biomedical research. This research core facility has state-of-the-art instrumentation and is supported by staff with expertise in proteomics, tissue microanalysis and relevant bioinformatics.

Cardiovascular Research Center - The Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC) is a consortium of basic and clinical scientists with a broad mission to better define the causes and cures of cardiovascular diseases.
Center for Obesity Research and Education - (CORE) - is a University-wide group of investigators dedicated to excellence in obesity research. Its mission is to facilitate interdisciplinary research on the etiology, consequences, treatment and prevention of obesity.
Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center - is dedicated to advancing the understanding of the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of arterial and venous thrombosis and hemorrhagic diseases.
Fels Institute for Cancer Research -

Center for Substance Abuse Research -
is to encourage and facilitate research on drugs of abuse and the consequences of their use, whether abused or therapeutic. This mission encompasses understanding the effects of the drugs on various systems in the body, as well as the study of the receptors to which the drugs bind, the signal transduction pathways they evoke, alterations that they induce in gene expression, neuronal pathways that they stimulate, and behaviors that they induce.

The Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities (CMHHD) works to develop more effective diagnostic, treatment and prevention strategies for this underserved population.

Health Behavior and Research Center - focuses on the prevention and treatment of behavioral health problems that contribute to physical and mental illness. We aim to develop and evaluate state-of-the-art treatments available to individuals; to disseminate our results to inform policy and to promote the public health impact of existing treatments; and to improve our understanding of biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to the health behavior change process.

Center for Asian Health -
Center for Asian Health is part of Temple University’s College of Health Professions. Established in 2000, the Center is one of the first in the nation dedicated to reducing cancer and other health disparities among Asian Americans.
Neuromuscular Function Lab - is an applied research site dedicated to the study of neuromuscular function and processes with the use of non-invasive physiological assessment techniques.
Center for Preparedness, Research, Education, and Practice - The mission of the Center for Preparedness Research, Education and Practice (C-PREP) is to develop research and training initiatives in public policy, risk perception and communication, and mental health to enhance public health preparedness and to mitigate the physical, psychological and public health impacts of natural and perpetrated disasters.
Biokinetics Research Laboratory -

Eleanor M. Saffran Center for Cognitive Neuroscience
- This research center specializes in the development of models and treatment programs for populations with neurologically-based language disorders such as aphasia and as other cognitive impairments.
Biostatistical Research Support Center (BRSC) - offers comprehensive statistical consulation and computational services to faculty, staff, and students in the College of Health Professions and throughout Temple University. BRSC personnel are available for discussion at all stages of research including preparation of grants and contracts, assistance in analyzing and presenting research data and statistical review of manuscriptsin the publication process.
Cultural and Linguistic Diversity - Department of Communications Sciences examines language development and language disorders in children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Ergonomics and Work Physiology Laboratory - In the department of Public Health at Temple University it is a research center for the study of work-related injuries. With the overarching goal of prevention of these injuries, we aim to identify the ergonomic exposures of jobs through work simulations.
Center for Intergenerational Learning- Primary mission is to address the social issues effecting vulnerable populations of people by fostering partnerships between organizations in the youth/family and aging networks.
