Temple University has opened a newly renovated Nursing Resource Center (JCNRC), located in the Pharmacy Building, at the Health Sciences Campus. Room 105 will include areas for physical assessment, hospital beds, and small group learning. Room 113 is currently being converted into a 25 station computer center for nursing students. Open lab hours are available each week during the semester. Our open hours vary each semester, so check current hours posted outside the JCNRC or call for daily hours. For special requests, please call for an appointment. The JCNRC is used for undergraduate and graduate lab classes and physical assessment classes. Our physical assessment area accomodates13 exam tables for student learning. Registered nurses and senior student workers staff our facility and are available to assist students. Self-learning and practice: The Nursing Department has combined its simulation resources with Temple’s multidisciplinary Simulation Center, The Institute for Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (ICSPS). The use of this facility has provided students the opportunity to safely learn and provide care during simulated cases. Audiovisual: The JCNRC is a fully equipped smart classroom. The JCNRC audiovisual library is also housed in room 105, where students can borrow items for viewing in our computer center.
