Jose E. Iglesias Vigil
José Enrique Iglesias was born in Oviedo in 1972. He studied at the Department of Drama, Television and Film Direction at the National School of Poland (1999-2006), the first Spaniard ever to graduate from said school. He has taken part in numerous workshops and meetings on fiction films and documentaries (R. Polanski, Agnieszka Holland, W. Marcewski, K. Karabasz, J. Kolski, S. Idziak, Rodrigo Prieto, etc.), as well as in the 49 edition of the Robert Flaherty Seminar in New York.
His first short film "Through the clouds" received the Día D'Asturies award in 2001 at the 40 Edition of Gijón International Film Festival, his short documentary "Fulfilment" an Special Mention of the Jury at the International Festival of Film Schools Munich 2002 and his last short "In between" the II Best Film and the Best Cinematography Awards at Lodzia po Wisle in Warsaw 2007.
He has collaborated with the most outstanding polish theatrical companies.
Awarded Scholarships: Asturian's Artist Cajastur 2003 & Spanish Authors Foundation (SGAE) 2002.
Student of the Department of Philosophy at Oviedo's University (1996-1999).
Has developed several cultural anthropology researches (Caribe & India).
