Jeffrey Gehris, of the Department of Kinesiology at the College of Health Professions, received a grant from the Pennsylvania State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, Inc. for the project “Physical activity levels in adventure based physical education.” The award provides $1,500 for the period June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009. Judith E. Gold, of the Department of Public Health at the College of Health Professions, received a grant from the Office of Ergonomics Research Committee, for the project “Characterization of Postures in Usage of Hand-intensive devices.” The award provides $25,000 for the period Sept. 1, 2008 through Oct. 31, 2009.
