Alter Hall: The new Fox School of Business building at 13th Street and Montgomery Avenue is well on its way to completion. In just the last few days, scaffolding has been removed from much of the seven-story building, as crews make progress on the $79 million building’s interior and exterior. The new building will feature innovations in smart classroom design, one of the longest stock tickers in the United States, a trading room/business simulation center, and other technology for teaching and learning designed to prepare students by mirroring a business environment. Opening January 2009. |

Tyler School of Art: Tyler students are already making plans for the move from Elkins Park to the school’s $75 million new home on Main Campus. A newly decorated bus — designed by art students — is transporting students between the old school and Main Campus, as the dramatic new building takes shape at 13th and Norris streets. The building, designed by renowned architect Carlos Jimenez, features dramatic display space, plus new studios and natural links to nearby theater and music buildings. Opening January 2009.

| Presser Hall. When the Tyler School of Art opens its doors at 13th and Norris streets, Presser Hall will share a spacious new entrance and atrium in addition to a new wing that will include studios, classrooms and administrative space. In September 2008, the atrium will be completed, and the old entrance will be closed to allow for construction of the new wing. The addition will open in the fall of 2009. |

| Baptist Temple: Temple’s historic Baptist Temple looks the same from the outside, but is undergoing a dramatic transformation on the inside. The building will soon become a premier venue for arts and cultural productions, international speakers, symposia, intellectual debate, and gatherings both large and small. The building’s re-opening in January 2010 will be the capstone of the university’s 125th anniversary celebration and will herald a new era in Temple history. |

At the same time, the new building will facilitate the addition of more faculty, emphasizing growth and investment in Temple’s research enterprise and enhancing both education and patient care. Opening in the middle of 2009.
