The Temple Sports Media Relations staff was honored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for “Excellence in Publications” at the 51st annual CoSIDA convention in Tampa, Fla., last week.
Temple earned nine top-20 national finishes in media guide design and content. Sports Media Relations associate director Kevin Bonner and assistant director Aimee Cicero earned “Best Cover” for the 2007–08 women’s basketball guide. Bonner and director Larry Dougherty earned “Third in the District” honors for the field hockey guide.
Also among the nation’s best were the 2007 football media guide, which finished seventh, and the men’s gymnastics and field hockey guides, which each finished 10th.
Rounding out the Owls’ top-20 awardees were the women’s gymnastics guide (11th), the men’s and women’s track and field guide (12th), the tennis guide (12th), the rowing guide (17th) and the men’s golf guide (19th).
