Renee Hobbs, professor of mass media and communications, received the 2009 Special Award from the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology at the annual meeting of the organization on Feb. 10 in Hershey, Pa. The award was presented to Hobbs for her work in helping media literacy educators understand the concept of copyright and fair use and for her ongoing work in the area of media literacy.
Joyce Lindorff, associate professor of keyboard at the Boyer College of Music and Dance, recorded a solo harpsichord recital and interview in the studios of Radio Television Hong Kong on Nov. 24, 2008 that was broadcasted on Jan. 25 and Jan. 30 in Hong Kong, China.
