Peter d'Agostino, professor and director of the NewTechLab, was invited to present his work at the Laboratorio Arte Alameda in New Mexico, Aug. 14- Sept. 30. His exhibition, “between earth & sky: MX,” was developed in the form of video installations, video performance, telecommunications events and broadcast productions.
Kathy Coyle, associate professor of therapeutic recreation in the College of Health Professions, was awarded the 2007 Scholar Award by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association in recognition of her accomplishments for her research on women with physical disabilities, which was cited in the 2005 “U.S. Surgeon General’s Call to Action to Improve the Health and Wellness of Persons with Disabilities,” and her mentoring of graduate students as co-authors on several refereed journal publications.
Michael Sachs, professor of kinesiology in the College of Health Professions, received fellow status in the American Psychological Association. This honor is reserved for less than 5 percent of the Association’s 150,000 members.
Lisa Staiano-Coico, provost and professor of surgery, has been named to the board of Managers of The Philadelphia Foundation for a three-year term.
