| As a result of the university’s initiative to transition to electronic pay, the Employee Self-Service (ESS) web site, http://ess.temple.edu, has become extremely popular as employees access the web site to view their paystubs, enroll in direct deposit, and keep their personal and work information up to date.
Human Resources has become aware that the hours of ESS availability may not be convenient for all university employees. Access to the ESS web site is dependent upon the availability of the Human Resources Information System, which must be taken offline in order to run nightly system updates and perform payroll processing.
Human Resources and Computer Services recognize the importance of providing access to ESS and are working together to extend the web site hours. They hope to have the ESS system operational during the day with extended evening and weekend hours by the end of February.
